FAQs

About the Site:

If you are interested in leading, teaching, or changing the world, you came to the right place. What matters is your desire to better what is around you and your desire to lead the change. This blog will provide content which will help you improve your communication skills, expand your toolbox of leadership techniques, and develop a more effective leadership philosophy.

What is a World-Changer?

A world-changer is anyone who wants to make the world a better place and improve the lives of those around them. Size isn’t so important as the drive to serve others. Small projects begun with passion can grow into massive movements.

Why the “1.1” in the title?

In software updates, the first improvement to the an original program is version 1.1. It isn’t a redo, a makeover, or a new version, but an improvement of the original. Likewise this site does not aim to remake you or turn you into something else, but to take the original and help you improve and add to it. This is the starting point. by taking a look at this blog, you graduated from being a world-changer to being a World-Changer 1.1 and counting.

Can I use content from this blog?

Unless otherwise stated or cited, this blog’s content consists of original work. As such, if you use it or reference it, cite it. If you’re unsure of whether you should cite something, err on the side of caution and cite it (it makes you sound more professional too!). Otherwise it is plagiarism. And that is as bad as killing a baby panda. Which is bad. So don’t do it.

Who are you and how are you qualified?

I have held high positions of leadership in several non-profit organizations, often in an active role as a trainer responsible for developing new leaders (BSA, BSA’s NYLT program, AWANA, CRU). In addition to being a three year alumni of the Worldview Leadership Academy, I am an avid consumer of literature on leadership and what influences people on personal and group levels. With a B.A. in History and a minor in Business from Columbia College, I have a unique understanding of how elements work together as a whole, which allows me to break down complex ideas and situations, draw logical conclusions, and identify important lessons.

Who are you as a person?

As for me personally, I am an Eagle Scout with high aspirations. My passion is for building up leaders and teachers who have a passion for service and the skills to make change. I am an academic at heart. Learning, reading, persuasive writing, and critical analysis are my top skills and loves. Other hobbies include museum visits, art, embroidery, and spending time with my family and my siblings. Musically, I alternate between metal and classical quite evenly. I love action movies and thrillers and generally anything really creative. Educationally, I plan on attending graduate school and getting a PhD in History.

I look forward to getting to know you in the comment section as you engage in a journey of learning and honing your skills as a world-changer!

Sincerely yours,
Ethan Bagdanov
